“The history of the Punch Club Origins, its Aims and Activities” was composed in a new edition in 1965 by Past President Brother Harold A. D. Rudd, whereby he carried out extensive research of the Club records to produce this detailed and enlightening account of the Club and the Brothers of the Bowl. In 1986 Past President Brother Haig Ellis and Past President Brother Denis Goossens produced a Supplement to record the Club’s activities for a further twenty years, which was appended in a combined edition, and together with a commemorative plaque, was presented to all of the Brothers at the 150th Anniversary Celebration in April 1987. The Rt. Hon. Bernard Weatherill M.P. “Speaker of the House of Commons” was the Guest of Honour at that Celebration Dinner.
