Meetings: Post 1950

Regular Meeting:

Unfortunately the Club has no photographic record of meetings pre-1950, as those that had been taken have been lost over time. However, as time has progressed and in more recent years, Brothers have started to bring along cameras to record the proceedings for posterity. The development of smart phones has made this process much easier, although even those photographs are comparatively few and far between. It is proposed that more should be taken of the general meeting procedures in the future.

Ladies Nights:

Many of the more recent photographs that have been taken are from the December Christmas Meetings and March Ladies evenings, due understandably to the presence of our glamorous Ladies, who without doubt brighten up the evening to the delight of the Brothers.

Garden Parties:

Garden Parties held in various members gardens have over the years always been well supported, with a sumptuous feast prepared by the “Kitchen Crew”, a hard working group of Officer’s Ladies who volunteer to meet early, prepare the spread and arrange it all before the gathering. One of the Brothers, appointed as “Barman” for the occasion, arranges the hiring of glasses and the supply of wines and beer. A raffle is held with the prizes donated by the Brothers, and the proceeds donated to a deserving charity chosen by the incumbent President.
