WELCOME TO THE PUNCH CLUB.

THE TRADITIONAL TOASTS

Each meeting has a Special Toast associated with that particular month, the subject of which is perpetual, but the content is at the appointed Brother’s discretion. The first of these, in September, is by tradition proposed by the outgoing President, the subject being “The Club, Churchill and The Battle of Britain”. October is “The Club, Nelson and The Battle of Trafalgar”, November – “A Decade in the Life of The Punch Club”, whereby a decade is specified in succession from 1837. December – “The Spirit of Christmas”. January – “The Club and A Great Briton”, preferably not one that has previously been chosen. February – “The Club and our Distinguished Forebears”. March – “The Club and A Great Lady Briton”. April – “The Club, England and St. George”, and finally May which is the Annual General Meeting and therefore the Toast is “The Club”.
